Services

At Shirley Dentistry we offer all the preventive, cosmetic, and restorative dental services your family needs to maintain good oral health and a smile you can be proud of. Our office is equipped to handle practically all of your dental health needs—ranging from preventive teeth cleanings to dental implants, from sealants and fillings to oral surgery, and everything in between. We provide the latest dental treatments in a comfortable and professional setting designed to accommodate every member of your family, so you don’t need to make long trips to specialists or other areas.

Preventive Care

Regular preventive dental care is an important part of maintaining your oral health—and keeping you feeling your best overall. We will clean your teeth, look for any signs of problems, and educate you about the best way to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Your preventive dental service visit also includes a radiographic survey (bitewing x-rays) to look for cavities between your teeth, and a panoramic survey to assess the health of the supporting structures in your jaws and face. Together we will review all aspects of your current dental health, and chart a course to help you achieve the optimal results you are looking for. Some of the preventive services we offer:

 • Cleanings

 • Dental Sealants

 • Regular Checkups

 • Patient Education

 • Nightguards (occlusal splints)

 • Mouthguards

 • Bitewing X-rays

 • Panoramic X-ray

 • Oral cancer screening

 • TMJ evaluation

Restorative Services

We provide a complete range of restorative services in our office. The ultimate goal of all of our restorative work is to return your teeth as close as possible to their natural form and function. Smiling, biting, and talking should be comfortable and allow you to look and feel good. We also work together with you to prevent future problems. For example, we offer:

 • Tooth-colored fillings

 • Amalgam fillings

 • Porcelain veneers

 • Whitening

 • Bonding

 • All-porcelain crowns, onlays, inlays, and bridges

 • Gold and porcelain-fused-to-gold crowns, onlays, and bridges

 • Dentures and partial dentures

 • Root canals

 • Dental implants—to replace teeth and/or support dentures

 • Third molar extractions

Gum Disease

We diagnose and treat gum disease in our office. If left untreated, gum disease—also called periodontal disease—can cause you to lose bone in your jaw and eventually lose teeth. Gum disease can also affect your entire health . . . research is starting to show that it may be linked to problems such as diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Related services that we provide:

 • Charting and diagnostic services

 • In-office gum therapy

 • Periodontal maintenance therapy

 • Splinting of loose or mobile teeth

 • Education on therapy and prevention of periodontal disease

Cosmetic Services

Are you unhappy with your smile? Would you like whiter, brighter teeth? Whether you want to change a single tooth or refresh your entire smile, we can help you get the look that you want. We also work closely with appropriate dental specialists, when necessary, in order to meet your planned goals. Ask us how to make your smile glow with confidence. A few of our cosmetic services:

 • Bleaching (teeth whitening)

 • Thin porcelain veneers

 • Life-like porcelain crowns

 • Orthodontics—limited and comprehensive

 • Dental implants

Sedation services

We understand dentistry can be daunting. For those times when you need help relaxing or feeling comfortable, we offer a safe and secure form of conscious sedation to facilitate your visit. Ask us how to help you relax at the dentist. We can provide sedation services during any of the procedures listed above. Our entire staff has been trained and certified in conscious sedation monitoring.

Patient Comfort

Our goal is to provide you and your loved ones with exceptional care. When you are in our office, our entire focus is on you and your oral health. We will listen to your concerns, answer your questions, discuss treatment options, and find a solution that works best for you. At Shirley Dentistry we want to see you smiling at the end of each visit!
