Every member of our staff was carefully selected for their caring and enthusiastic personalities. Fun, vibrant, and upbeat smiles greet you at the door, and stay by your side throughout the entire visit. Laughter accompanies most visits to our office.
In addition to the friendly and comfortable atmosphere at Shirley Dentistry, you will find that our staff is professional, thorough, and very well trained. Dr. Shirley offers a very comprehensive array of dental and oral surgery services so that you can take care of all your needs in one office. All of our staff has the training to make you comfortable (for example, our entire staff is certified in conscious sedation) while we make sure you have the best oral health possible.
Levi Shirley, DDS
Dr. Levi Shirley is a native of Texas who moved to Aurora in the Fall of 2005. His college career began at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. After taking a sabbatical from college to serve a church mission in Chile, he returned to BYU and graduated in with a degree in zoology. He received his doctorate of dental surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2003. After graduation, Dr. Shirley spent two years honing his skills in the National Health Service Corps. He started his own dental practice in Aurora, Missouri in 2005. Dr. Shirley is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater Springfield Dental Society.
Dr. Shirley has a genuine passion for dentistry. He understands how dental disease and orofacial problems can affect overall health and well-being. Dr. Shirley constantly strives to help patients learn to love and appreciate their smiles.
Dr. Shirley married his beautiful wife, Amber, in 1998. They are the proud parents of five very energetic children. Family activities center around church, school, sports, and the outdoors.
April
April has been a dental assistant since 1998. She has a quick wit and good sense of humor that our patients enjoy. She is certified in CPR, nitrous oxide administration, and conscious sedation monitoring. April also has her expanded functions dental assisting certificates in Prosthetics I & II, and in Restorative.
She and her husband, Robert, have a son named Reed. April loves to cook, read, attend concerts, and spend time with the family dog, a lab named Pete.
Summer
Summer has been a dental assistant since 2009. She joined Shirley Dentistry in the spring of 2012, and has been a valuable addition to our patient-centered team. Like the rest of our staff, Summer is certified in conscious sedation monitoring. Summer also has her expanded functions dental assisting certificates for Restorative and Orthodontics.
Summer and her husband, Jerry, have three wonderful children, who are the center of their lives. They spend lots of time outdoors, at the lake, and involved in school and church activities.
